BC: Hello! My name is Joshua Isaac Nothe Rutledge. Joshua is a Hebrew name that means “God is salvation.” Almost ten years ago my daddy helped my grandma think of names when my aunt Emily was born. He really liked the name Joshua then, and he still does! Isaac is a Hebrew name that means “he will laugh.” When my mommy found out that she was going to have me, she laughed out loud. When I first started moving around, I tickled her belly, and she laughed out loud. In the Bible Sarah’s son is named Isaac, and she says “God has made laughter for me” (Genesis 21:6). I can already make my mommy and daddy laugh, and they can’t wait to hear me laugh! Nothe was my great-grandpa’s last name and is my grandpa’s last name. Now it will stay in my family as my second middle name. Thank you for letting me tell you about myself. I can't wait to meet you!
