BC: The End | There's my day!
FC: A Regular [Showchoir] Day (If That Is Possible) | By, Cassie Wood
Showchoir mornings start very early. Today we had to be at school by 6:30. Some mornings we have to be there by 4:30. FYI, my clock is 7 minutes fast...it probably doesn't help me knowing. :P | This is a very glamorous picture of how happy I am to wake up so early, which is, not at all.
On the buses most people are very tired and crabby, but sometimes there are happy people, like Fantasia. | The parents usually get donuts and juice for us to eat for breakfast on the bus. They take care of us all day. :)
Once we get to Mt. Zion, we have a homeroom for both Intuition and Noteables to keep all of our stuff in. Our hosts also put the schedule for our group on the board. | Good Luck!
Once we get there, all of the Intuition girls have to start taking curlers out of their hair and getting ready to perform.
The bathrooms were a little awkward... They were very short. So, of course, we decided to take a picture of it. :)
Before we perform, some of us polish our instruments. This is what we do instead of curling our hair. :) I just have to make sure to keep my dress clean... | Make it shine!
Before we perform, everyone in Intuition gets lined up to go to warm ups. | In warm ups we run through the show and get pumped up to perform. | Practice makes perfect!
 Intuition's performance time!
In the middle of the day we have 2 soloists from both of our groups compete in a solo competition. | Lindsey Harris | Samantha Thomas | Nick Brockamp | Sing, Sing, Sing... :)
Between performances we can get food, hang out, or watch other showchoirs. | We discovered that some other people like to lay around with equipment and lounge...they may be on to something :)
Then Noteables goes to warm ups to run through the show before we perform.
 Noteables's Performance time!
After all of the groups perform there are pre-lim awards that introduce all the groups and then tell who the lucky 6 groups are that get to perform again for finals later on. Unfortunately, we didn't make finals :(
These are two of the groups in finals.
On the way home we stopped by Mcdonald's to eat. <--"Mcdonald's has me hooked!" -Maranda Greer | No one is too old for a happy meal! <--"There is a reason they have age limits for toys; under 3 you'll eat the stickers and over 7 you'll realize they don't have to go on the truck." - Lindzey Wheeler
We made the journey back from Mt. Zion to good old Pekin, Il. Here is a picture of my approximate arrival time back home. What a long day... (We were secretly somewhat glad we didn't make finals :) shhh...) | bed time!
