FC: Somewhere, someone incredible is waiting to join our family. | Kenny & Texas
1: Dear Birth Mother, Where does one begin when there aren't enough words to explain the depth of gratitude and love we feel towards you; a person we haven't met yet. We are amazed by your courage, strength and selflessness. We pray that you will be guided and blessed. We would like to introduce ourselves to you. We met at the Denver Airport where we both had a layover. Kenny was coming home from a family gathering in Idaho and I was returning from a wedding in Utah. We found ourselves on the same flight back to Fort Worth where we both lived. Quickly we discovered that we actually belong to the same church. Soon after, we began dating and were married 9 months later. After a few years of marriage and a great desire to have children, we were blessed with our son. Recent fertility treatments have proven unsuccessful despite our hopes of increasing our family. We love being parents and can't imagine only having one child. We now look forward to expanding our family through adoption. Kenny is a native Texan who comes from a great family with strong values and lots of family traditions. He is an attorney with a law firm here in Houston. Kenny is a great father and a hard worker. He loves spending the majority of his free time with his family doing things such as taking bike rides, going to the park, making homemade ice cream, and visiting family. He also loves all sports. Before I was born, my mother was trying to find a strong Texan name for me. She decided what better name than Texas. I am currently a stay-at-home mom and have a small cake business that I run out of our home. I am from a large diverse family that gets together regularly to celebrate birthdays and holidays. My priority is family and in particular, raising our son to be a happy and productive individual. I love looking for hands-on ways to teach him new things and take great pride in his accomplishments. Carson is the center of our world! He is happy, fun, energetic and outgoing. He loves learning, trains, and going on outings such as the zoo and the park. We have been impressed with his ability to learn, especially when it comes to reading. Lately, his interest in having a sibling has peeked and he often asks when he is going to get a baby. We know he will be an awesome big brother and will bond quickly. Being parents has been an amazing experience for us. Our home is a Christ centered home. We know that our savior is eager to bless our lives as He is for all of His children. We feel very blessed for the opportunity to adopt a child and expand our family. We look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you might have. With love, Kenny, Texas and Carson

17: What Adoption Means to us: | Being parents is the greatest joy we have known. When we were faced with the challenge of infertility we were filled with mixed emotions. After praying for two and a half years to conceive, we came to the realization that we were asking the wrong question. We then began to pray that we would be guided as to how to expand our family. Soon after we changed this plea, we were lead towards adoption. We look forward to adoption with eagerness. We know that we will have a unique, amazing and unexplainable bond with our next family member. | Kenny says: Expanding our family is the greatest desire of my heart. As we have begun our journey to adopt I have felt great peace and joy. Being a father is a great responsibility and challenge that I whole-heartedly accept. I love being a father and I am excited to have another son or daughter. Texas says: In the initial stages in choosing adoption I did tons of research and came up with a list of questions. I then called up a friend who has an adopted child and began asking the questions. By the end of our conversation I felt a great peace and knew that adopting a child would prove to be one of the most wonderful experiences I could ever hope for. Carson says: We should get a baby I can show all my friends my new baby.
19: A family is pieced together with love, hope and faith. We feel very blessed for this opportunity to expand our family.
