FC: Margaret "Molly" Corbin- The most outrageous woman in the 1700's!!
1: Margaret was born on November 12,1751 near Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.Molly's father was killed in the Indian raid and her mother was held captive and killed. Therefore Molly and her brother were orphaned by their uncle.To her death in 1800, her parents gave her faith to fight in the American Independence War.
2: Molly got married and started her life as a farmer's wife. But when he was sent to war, she had to go with him. Molly wanted to know and do everything right. That's how she became a camp follower. A soldier's wife, learning the in's and out's of the army.
3: Before Molly was in war, she was considered a "camp follower" because she always followed her husband when he joined the army
4: Molly the Brave | Molly's best friend was her husband, but when he passed it became her cannon. Fighting was the only memory she had with him.The wars she has fought in helped the America grow. The cause of her death was in the war of Hessians. She did her job but it was time to let go. She retired and went to the after war clinic. | Molly had to go to the clinic because she got wounded 3 times but survived and had to get special care. | 1751
5: Molly was the first woman in war to receive a veteran's benefit. Margaret started out as a farmers wife. But when John went to war- she had to also! She learned by being a camp follower- which means a soldier's wife who follows his crew. When Molly was in war after her husband was killed, she got wounded by the Hessians but got away with only 3 bullet wounds. 6: Although I didn't know Molly because she's like a million years old. But when i researched her i found out that she wasn't as different as you and me. She just made a difference in our world, maybe we will change the earth too. Molly was a brave, considerate, and a loving woman. It would have been great to know her. | What an inspirational woman!
7: Margaret was brave because when she was young her parent were killed and she and her brother were orphaned. Their uncle brought them under his wing and made family forever. This gave her the strength to live and survive in war.
