Majors and Careers | Majors Offered -aerospace engineering -metallurgical engineering -physics -international relations -management science | Most of these majors will prepare me for an engineering career, but aerospace engineering will help me do what I actually want to do when I grow up, which is fly for the USAF.

UA is a very sports-driven college. I wouldn't say I was really interested in going, but the college does have certain appeals to it. The majors interest me, the student body has access to many things, and the admission requirements are below my level right now so I don't think I would have a problem getting in. I feel like the academics will get pushed to the side when compared to the sports heritage of the school, though, and as far as I know, I won't be going to college for athletics, so UA is not on my list of colleges I want to attend. | Reflection:

 United States Air Force Academy

About the College: | -Located on USAF Academy, CO -Mascot is a falcon -Setting is suburban -Very strict fitness program -Must live on campus and wear uniforms -Nomination from a congressman, the vice president, or President is required for admission -Fourth highest college in marijuana usage

Money Information | Hooray! | The US government pays for any and all costs associated with attending any military academy

These are just averages) | High School | English Math Science Foreign Lang. | Social Stud. History Computer Science | 4 4 4 2 | 3 3 1 | GPA: 3.86 | S A T | reading | writing | math | 590-680 | 620-700 | 570-650 | ACT | composite:29-32

Majors and Careers | Astronautical engineering Computer engineering Space operations Physics Atmospheric sciences | Almost all of these majors will help me in the flying category, and any one of them would provide a great fall-back career if it doesn't work out, such as working on building a shuttle or building the next great supercomputer.

Reflection | Before researching this college, I was undecided whether I wanted to attend or not. It has a very rigorous program that stresses leadership, organization, and physical fitness. I like the small class size and how the government pays for any expenses associated with the college, but I'm not sure I am up to the difficulty level and unnecessary stress. After learning more about the college, I am leaning towards saying no to attending this college.
