2: Women wore a linen underdress, and and overdress made of wool or heavy linen they also wore a veil.

3: The preparing and serving drinks was a womens job. The role of an Anglo Saxon women was connected with cloth weaving, spinning, and the making of clothes and other textile products were all made by females. women were to run the household and take care of the children. Women were also hired as entertainment.

4: Higher class Anglo Saxon women a husband must pay money or land for a womens hand in marriage. It must be paid to her directly and she has the right to choose what to do as she pleases. The most common way of marriage were arranged marriages form the moment a women was born or to settle a war or any type of dispute.

5: Women were to situate themselves as the object of her husbands subjectivity. She was to become the object of his protection and his property even though she still owned her own property.

6: Women took care of the children and would defend them if they had too.

7: Children were treated the same no matter what gender. They were not given a lot of attention from the mothers because of the high rate of child mortality. Women did not want to get that close or that attached to their children because they were unsure how long the child would be with them.

8: Most cooking was done by Anglo saxon women.

9: A cooking pot would be hung over a fire to cook soups and stews for the men and children. Men would hunt and bring the food back to the women to be prepared.
