1: THe Meaning of my name | Rachel: | Lopez: | The name Rachel is originally Hebrew and ewe, or female sheep. | Lopez is based off of "lope", which is the Spanish version of "lupus". "Lupus" is late-Roman and means wolf.

7: The fight for women's rights and suffrage was a long and arduous one. A few of the other amendments had outlined the rights for certain people, but it seemed as if women were passed over. Many reforms for women's right to vote formed, and the 19th amendment was proposed to Congress in 1878. After years and years of protesting, the House of Representatives passed the amendment on May 21, 1919. The Senate followed suit 2 weeks later, and finally, on August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment was officially ratified.

9: When the first Major League Baseball game was televised in 1939, television was still a relatively new concept. Television in homes wasn't normal until around the 1950's. The game was on August 26, between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds. It was at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York and the broadcast was on Channel W2XBS. Sports were, and still are, a huge form of entertainment. This event caused increased interest in future technological advances.
