FC: Johannes Brahms INTRODUCTION THIS IS THE STORY OF JOHANNES BRAHMS,great musician of the romantic era.He was born on May 7,1833 and he died on April 13,1897.

1: On May 7,1833 in Hamburg ,Germany a musical genius was born. Christiane Nissen, wife of Johann Jakob Brahms, gave birth to Johannes Brahms. Christiane Nissen had supported herself since she was thirteen years old ,working as a seamstress and general maid. Johann Jakob Brahms, Johannes's father moved to Hamburg from a provincial village at the age of nineteen. He earned money playing in bars playing music as a small time-musician. He also was a double bass player in the Hamburg Opera. Brahms oldest sister never learned how to play piano.The other had no skills.

2: His family didn't have much money.Johannes started training when he was seven years old.His dad first introduced him to music.As far as me Lucas and Andy know,his only teachers were Otto Cossel and Eduard Marxen. Johannes performed his first recital when he was ten years old. (1843). In that same year he started touring as a child prodigy.In 1852 he toured with friend,teacher,and violinist Eduard Marxen. He composed his first sonata in 1847.

3: He worked as the director of court concerts | He worked as the Director of Court Concerts and as Director of Choral Society for Prince Lippe-Detmold. In 1852, Brahms met Joseph Joachim and Franz Liszt. On October 1st, 1852 Brahms met Robert Schuman. Brahms returns to Dusseldolf when Schuman had a breakdown. Brahms worked as a court pianist,chamber musician,and the Conductor of Court Choir. Johannes Brahms never got married. One of Brahms most famous pieces was the German Requiem.

4: You may think Johannes had a interesting life and career,well your right,but he was worried that he would be compared to Beethoven. Brahms was the last of his family. He died at his home in Vienna,Austria on April 3,1897.It is said that on that morning when his maid walked into his room,Brahms sat up like he was going to speak then fell Back onto his pillow and was never heard from again.
