1: Dear Diary, | I can't possibly find the words to describe the panic that existed among these running people. 9: Dear Diary, I was sitting on my balcony today, reading a book. And all of sudden, I heard a thud, and I saw planes circling above the city. I 'm so afraid about making it out alive... I'm so afraid for my family and friends. I found out early my friend, John, who's in the army, died today. I can't help but to think how far this war will go. Who will be next? I keep thinking about my beloved husband who is at war. May God watch over him and the rest over us. Sincerely, Zofia Kolawski

I hope they are stopped. Yes, the war lasted for a year, but that's a year too long. Who is to say how long war will last in other European countries? I'm still scared by what has happened. My home town is ruined and lives have been ruined. I am just thankful my husband, my children, friends, and family has made it out alive... But I still haven't forgotten you John.. Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Zofia Kolawski
