Mark and Lindsay Brady July 27, 2013 Alice, Colorado
Love Eden Frost Brady When you are near, I'm near too. And there may be a storm here too. But love is love. Love is bright. Love is on the sunny side.
It's All I Have to Bring Today Emily Dickinson It's all I have to bring today - This, and my heart beside - This and my heart, and all the fields - And all the meadows wide - Be sure you count - should I forget Some one the sum could tell - This and my heart, and all the bees Which in the clover dwell.
Dear Lindsay, The night we met I fell in love with you. Little did I dream I’d soon and forever be drenched in love. I love the press of your knuckles on my chin. I love your fathomless eyes. I love that you let me see the joy and the hurt behind them. You listen like trees listen to the wind, move like windblown needles and leaves along a trail, smile like bubbles in a boiling pot, suffer like the wrack of dead limbs in a storm. You’re music to me, and I will always thank you. Thank you for letting my love into your heart. Thank you for letting my love into your heart. You gird me up. I will never fall down on you. Love, Mark
You are the one for me. I know how lucky I am to be with you. From the night we met, I could see that there is an incredible weight to the person you are and the choices you make and the way you think. I wanted to know you then and, now, I want to be with you forever. I look forward to everything with you. Together we'll test each other's tolerance for spicy food, and play music, and write stories, and explore, and go on adventures, and have heated discussions about what to name our band. I promise to work hard to support you and make our life together great. And I will always love you. I love you for your honesty and sincerity and strength. And for the way you look at me and listen to me and care about me. Thank you for sharing yourself, your family, your life with me. Thank you for loving me in spite of my occasional stubbornness and inability to tightly put the cap on anything in the kitchen. I am grateful for whatever transpired to allow us to meet. I know that we're supposed to be together. So you keep reciting poems and I'll keep pointing out constellations. Once, you quoted Yeats to me: "My dear, my dear, I know more than another what makes your heart beat so." To that, all I can say is, "Doggone it, baby, I'm in love."
