FC: September 28, 2009 - October 3, 2009 Progreso and Cozumel
1: We stayed 2 nights in New Orleans before getting on the cruise ship. | Ryan, Amanda and Owen came down to spend the weekend with us.
2: Monday September 28, 2009. The ship left port at 4:00pm to cruise down the Mississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico.
4: Tuesday September 30, 2009 Fun Day at Sea
5: Ice sculpting demonstration | Two doves sitting on top a heart, completely finished within 20 minutes.
6: Wednesday September 30, 2009 Progreso, Mexico
7: We attended a Port Orientation meeting, the speaker said the first man to get on stage wearing red lipstick would win an excursion ticket to Progreso, I slapped some red lip gloss on Matt and he raced to the stage and won!
8: Chichen Itza One of the 7 Wonders of the New World | The Mayans were a great culture of farmers, fisherman and warriors who ruled from Campeche to Guatemala for over 2000 years before the arrival of the Spanish explorers in the 15th Century. They were quite the advanced civilization and the legacy of their culture survives in the vestiges of the huge cities that they built during their reign.
9: Progreso is an important historic site. Prized by the Mayans for its bounty of natural resources, it became the home of their most sacred shrines.

11: We went to Playa Mia Beach and relaxed all day.
