1: The Carrickfergus Castle was built in the 12th century in the year of 1180. It was built by John De Courcy. The Castle was built to be a prison and also to be a memoir for a king named King Fergus whom had died near the castle in the bay. The castle has a dungeon where the prisoners stayed. The Carrickfergus was built in Western Europe, Ireland. It is also said to be haunted be an old soldier known as buttoncap who died inside of the castle. The name Carrickfergus means "Rock Of Fergus".
