8: Castles in Defense | Castles were the perfect place to keep safe during an attack. They had many tricks of defense. The first one is that castles would have a moat filled with water. A drawbridge would lay across the moat at the castle entrance. Moats were also used as a dump for kitchen garage and toilets. The walls were

10: Location | A castle was located at the end of a town or city to protect a city. A castle can be located in the middle of a town or city so everyone can reach it as fast as possible in case of enemy's attacking. It also could be in the middle

11: Diary of Al the Peasant | My day started out miserably. All I could do that day was work. I misbehaved so I was not allowed to have breakfast or lunch. I am so hungry! I think the system is very harsh. Just because our parents are poor does not mean that we have be treated unfairly. I am also not allowed to leave my farm. We have to work all day while all the nobles and knights get to train and get high quality meals. In addition to that, they will also be given a nice place to live. If you ask me, I think this system is a very harsh.

12: Castles were a great source of protection, well...... that is....... until gunpowder was invented........ Castles were then able to be blown up. :( Bye, bye castle!
