2: France didn't have a very fair government. The first and second estate had "special treatment", while the third estate had to pay all the taxes and didn't have very many rights. There isn't much of a balance of power.

4: The first meeting of the three estates was the estates general. The constitution written in this meeting split the legislature into 3 parts, the radicals (Jacobin), moderates, and the conservatives.

6: The second meeting of the estates was called the National Assembly. The National Assembly was called by King Louis XVI to help the laws to become more equal. King Louis XVI just sat back and didn't do anything so the laws didn't change.

8: The third meeting was the Nation Convention. The third estate was locked out of this meeting so they formed the Tennis Court Oath. Since the third estate wasn't present, there wasn't a plebiscite.

11: The fourth meeting was the legislative assembly. This is where another concordat was written. This new document was yet another coup-d'etat. 12: After the meetings came the Reign of terror. This was when Maximilien Robespierre was in power. It was also when many people were killed.
