1: Civil Rights Movement | The Civil Rights Movement was a political movement for equality before the law

2: One of the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement was a man named Martin Luther King Jr. who believed everyone is and should be treated equal.

3: A lady named Rosa Parks inspired part of the Civil Rights Movement when she refused to give up her seat to a white person.

4: The Montgomery bus boycott; when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white person.

5: An organization called the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was created to ensure equality.

6: Brown Vs. Board of Education | A Supreme Court case in which the court made state laws establishing separate public schools for whites and blacks unconstitutional.

7: Plessy Vs. Ferguson | With this case it made it constitutional to separate whites and blacks facilities as long as they were equal.

8: Civil Rights Expand | The Civil Rights movement inspired other groups to fight for their cause | Women wanted more rights | The Latinos fought and got more rights for farm workers

9: The Counter Culture wanted to change the attitude in art, film, and music | The Native Americans won and got education enhanced, health care, voting rights and religious freedoms
