The Bulls kick an extra point and now the game is all tied up.
5: That was the last score of the game for awhile. The score remained 28-28 for the rest of the 3rd quarter. It was getting harder to score because as it got later in the day it started to get cold and started snowing. The field was getting slippery. The players were having trouble holding on to the ball. It was the second week of December in Pennsylvania and everybody was freezing. The teams were on the sideline warming up and waiting for the fourth quarter to begin. Both teams realized the time was running out in the game.
6: The fourth quarter began. The Bulls had the ball and it was third and one. The Bulls failed to get the yard and had to punt. The Tigers didn't get very far and also punted. Neither of the teams scored until the Tigers kicked a field goal with 5:39 left in the game. The Bulls scored a touchdown and now led by 4. The Tigers started the drive from their own twenty yard line. Okay, trips bunch slants said Brick, Barr, the Bulls starting quarterback. He got the snap and threw it to the star receiver, Patrick Taylor. It was caught for a big gain. The next play Barr handed it off to the running back, Tim Chestor who picked up 12 yards. They got down to the 10 yard line in another 6 plays. They ran 3 more plays. Now there was 2:37 left in the game. It was 4th and goal from the 9 yard line. Spread formation wide receiver cross, said Barr. They walked up to the line. They were down by 4 points.
7: Barr got the snap and threw to Devon Simms who caught the ball at the 5. He ran down the side line. He was at the 2 yard line, then to the 1. It was one yard to the endzone to take the lead. The linebacker ran towards Simms. Simms got scared and ran out of bounds one yard short of the endzone. Everyone started booing. he needed one yard and he didnt try hard enough to score. The coach pulled him and he didn't play the rest of the game. It is now the Bulls ball on their one yard line. The Bulls QB hands off to the back and he's tackled in the endzone for a safety. The Bulls kickoff to Chestor who finds a hole and takes off down field. Seven seconds are left in the game. He crosses the 50, he's at the 45, the 40, the 35,30 and he's finally brought down at the 28 yard line with one second left in the game. The game comes down to this play. If they score they win, if they don't the Bulls win. They are down by 2 points so a field goal would win it. It would be a 38 yard field goal ,but the coach doesn't trust his kicker so they decide to keep the offense on the field. Barr gets the snap 28 yards to the endzone. He looks left no one's open. He looks right and throws to Patrick Taylor who catches the ball at the 2 yard line. He gets hit hard by the safety and his helmet comes off, but he stays on his feet and runs into the endzone. Tigers win! The fans start cheering. The Tigers won because Patrick Taylor tried hard and scored instead of giving up like Deven Simms.
