15: Renovating the kitchen at the lake. Due to some old water damage, we had to tear out the floor and some cabinets so we decided to remodel! Uncle Jon and the family were getting ready to move to Omaha for him to start work at RJV. He got here early and helped a LOT with the remodel. We were getting ready for Aunt Zoe & the cousins to arrive and the family was going to live at the lake until they found a house in Omaha.
16: In the midst of our remodel and a few days after Uncle Jon moved all of their belongings into the garage at the lake, everyone was evacuated for the entire summer. The Missouri river was flooding and Lake WaConDa was in danger. Many feared it would become part of the river. After much sandbagging and continuous work, the lake survived.
