BC: The End
FC: By Alicia Mitchell | You are the reason I am doing what I’m doing.
2: “Father” Lights are off, she sits in the dark while the moon is like her own little spot light, knees pulled up to her chin, her head rests gently upon her knees. The tears glistening in the moon light like the river they once sat at when they went fishing. “Dad” she says shakily “I miss you, but it doesn’t matter because there is nothing I can do to bring you back.” The tears fell freely, there is no such thing as holding back where she is now. She hugs her knees tighter and tighter as the pain grows harder and harder to bear.
3: She could still feel his big bear hugs around her like she was a little kid, the feeling of sitting on her father’s shoulders watching the fireworks as they explode in the sky. The times he tucked her in when she screamed, afraid of the monsters, all the times he told her that everything was going to be okay. Now as the tears washed down her face, all those feelings gone, and she knows she will never have those close, safe feelings again. She cries harder, for she will miss and envy him, for he is no longer her memory maker.
4: Cinquan poem: Me Quiet, sad Thinking, sobbing, cheering Never reveals real emotion Human. | Haiku poem: The wave’s crash As the sea opens up to me I smile in joy. | Mottos: I wear my life Life is like a sore, it fades with time. I don’t just love it, I live it.

11: Good times The sweet smell of cookies baking in the oven How we love to fight about our taste in clothes The times we laugh till we cried The times we cried out of anger and sadness How we love to fight about our taste in clothes We laughed over goofy clothes We fought over what looked better We got attitudes with each other We laughed over goofy clothes We loved each other for who we where We had our own little sayings We joked and had a good time We loved each other for who we where All the bad times we had just made us stronger The way we said “I love you” before bed I still love you no matter what.
12: She sits on the floor Hands in her face As the tears drop like the rain outside “How could you do this to me?” “How could you choose her over me?” “Why does she win?” “What does she do that I don’t?” Her shoulders tremble She can’t bring herself to get up. “What does it matter anymore?” She stops crying Looks up to see the sun shining “I’m better off without you” “I never needed you.” She finds the strength to stand “You were never good for me” She wipes away the tears “I’m glad you left” “It showed me how much I don’t need you
13: For the tears you wipe away The nights you found me crying. All the times you made me laugh. For every monster you have killed. I love you always and forever mom.
