FC: Boston | 2011
Left Omaha on August 11, 2011 and landed safely (yipeedoo!) Stayed at the Midtown Hotel, rode the T around town, and enjoyed all the activities the city had to offer. The fast pace of life there is definitely kicked up in a "hurry up" kind of way.
This is the Harbor Walk along the North End. We got some dessert from Modern Pastry and "chilled".
The Basilica of OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP "The Mission Church"
The 'North End' had great Italian food. The BEST pizza was at Pizzeria Regina! We ate it twice! The pastas and desserts were good also. We went to Mike's and Modern Pastry shops and ate 'rigot' cannoli.
There was a religious festival going on at the 'North end.' It was the celebration of St. Agrippina Dimineo. There was lots of ethnic foods, music, and jubilant Bostonians.
 Jasper White's Seafood... YUMMY!
There was a carousel in the park near the harbor. Kevin really wanted to ride. Ha! | We walked along the harbor one evening and enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells of Boston.
The Basilica was beautiful! The music was outstanding also. A man sang on Sunday and on Monday a flutist played the liturgical songs.
 Let's play ball !
Fenway Park was just as we remembered it! The sounds, smells, and mayheim was just part of the experience! It rained quite a bit earlier in the day but we 'kept the faith and it cleared up by 7pm. The game started...no rain, no delays, extra innings, and a WIN!
 "Sweet Caroline...bum, bum, bum....!
Good times never seemed so good, So Good, SO GOOD, SO GOOD!"
 The Green Monster
What a game! It was tied in the 9th and went into extra innings AND the Red Sox won!
 Red Sox Beat Yankees!
We ate crab cakes, clam bake, lobster roll, crab legs, mussels, and shrimp. It was so fresh and delicious!
 FENWAY PARK
Home of the Boston Red Sox
Set the timer on the camera and snapped a family photo with Boston Harbor in the background.
Views of the harbor were pretty. You could see the skyline of Boston, Bunker Hill Bridge, and various boats.
Observatory Deck at the top of the Prudential Building. We rode elevator to the 50th floor and walked around the panoramic deck to get a bird's eye view of the city. It was fun to see where all we walked on our many adventures around the city. i would have to say that we all thought that Fenway was the highlight of our trip again. The food was also amazing!
Our last evening in Boston, we treated ourselves to Legal Seafoods at Copley Place. | Kyle and Kevin tried an oyster shooter as an appetizer. Luke and I just watched. The food was yummy! | Kevin had the lobster, I had shrimp, Kyle had crab cakes, and Luke tried the seafood combo.
Kyle ran through some steam springs in downtown Boston to cool off. | This is the Old Church in Downtown Boston we discovered on one of our many walks. We averaged walking about 5-6 miles per day! | We thoroughly our trip to Boston. It was great to spend some time together before the school year started. | This is the Old State House located just north of Boston Common and the Public Gardens | Luke and Kyle in Public Gardens
