1: President Reagan allowed the press to come to the ranch for just a few events... In 1981 after a spirited debated on Captiol Hill the Democratic Congress passed the President's tax cut. | The | The Reagan Conference Center

4: In 1983, Mrs Reagan, concerned about President Reagan's safety...together with friends brought him a blue Jeep as a birthday gift. The red jeep remained in the barn!

17: He loved to work in his workshop and on the property...the chainsaw was often used to cut down trees, he liked clear paths and Mrs Reagan liked the ranch at 80 year around | President Reagan wanted to work at Wards Department store as a young man - thought it would be a stable job. He often bought Ward's equipment

19: President Reagan loved to ride, generally riding both in the morning and the afternoon. This was a real issue for the Security Serivce, who didn't ride. President Reagan would ready Mrs Reagan's horse, then ring the barn bell and she would head up to the barn.

20: The Security Service worked hard to see everything at the ranch without the President and Mrs Reagan always seeing them. | Much of the Restricted Areas were wither empty now or closed off and used for current purposes...
