1: The Coombs Family Christmas Letter We hope this letter finds you well and that you have having a wonderful holiday season. This year has gone by fast as they always do! Here is a little bit of what has been going on with the Coombs family this year: Dave and Necha are still trying to adjust to life as empty nesters since Taylor is now on his mission. Dave is still enjoying not being bishop and it now teaching the 15-16 year olds as well as being the stake employment specialist. He has also been trying to go hunting as much as Necha will allow. Necha is still working at the elementary school and enjoying her adorable grandkids. This summer they vacationed in Hawaii for one week for Dave’s work, and the next week Lauren, Adam, and Taylor joined them for one last hoorah before Taylor left. We had such a good time! Danny and Danielle have been busy with their three cute kids. Danny got a new job with Otis Spunkmier and loves it! We love the cookies he hooks us up with as well. Danielle is staying busy with her church calling in Relief Society and keeping up with the kids. Alison turned 5 and is in 1st grade, she is so smart! She is going to play basket ball this winter and is excited to have “papa Dave” coach her in soccer this spring. Lauren and Taylor have been telling her for years that she is going to be a soccer star. Breanne turned 4 and still the funniest kid we have met. During the primary program it was her turn to say her part; she turned to her teacher and said “Don’t help me, I already know what to say” of course saying that right into the microphone. According to Breanne she wants to be a princess when she grows up and will defiantly marry the king. Caleb is now one and he is all over the place. Danielle has been a little shocked with the difference between him and the girls. She often says “He is just so rough and destructive; my girls were not like this”. He is such a sweetheart though, we love him Lauren and Adam are buying a house in Murray and will be moving in later this month. After six months of looking, and 10 offers later they finally have a house!!! Adam is working at Cirque Lodge, a drug and alcohol rehab, in Provo. Lauren is working at Regus as the General Manager for the Sandy Center—to be brief she sells and manages office space. She finally went back blonde so Dave can start calling her “his favorite blonde daughter” again. And now when she comes to visit the neighbors recognize her. Lauren and Adam are enjoying being young and single. No babies in the near future (so they say). As mentioned above Taylor is on his mission in Honduras, he left in August and he absolutely loves it! He is doing well and working hard. He and his companion have already had a few baptisms. We look forward to his letters and emails every week. Although, we still don’t understand why he doesn’t use spell check and we have had to tell him a few times that grandma and grandpa don’t understand his acronyms such as “LOL”! We are all very happy and proud of him. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!
