1: The Cold War - Post World War II - Containment Policy - Korean War - Vietnam War - Collapse of Communism
2: Post World War Two. | Key Terms Communism- CA government based control system where tone person had all control. Containment- a way that America made sure that Communism was not spread all over the world during World War II. Collapse of the Berlin Wall- A wall that separated West and East Berlin; it was knocked down at the end of World War II. | Key People Stalin- German leader during World War II. Hitler- The leader of the Nazi Party during World War II. He killed millions of men women and children within a few year period. FDR- FDR was the US president at the time of World War II and for sometime after as well. He helped bring America out of the Great Depression.
5: Containment policy | Key Terms Truman doctrine - Pledge to help other nations Korea- We got involved in the Korean War and sided with South Korea. Warsaw pact- defensive alliance of communist countries | Key People Harry Truman- Wrote the Truman Doctrine. Ronald Regan- was president after the containment policy "worked". He was elected after World War II. Eisenhower - helped make the containment policy which secured Americans position in World War II.

7: Key Terms North Korea- The communistic side of Korea. To this day they are still very strict on what their people can and cannot do. South Korea- THe non-communist side of Korea. They were split at the 38th parallel. 38th Parallel- The 38th Parallel was where North and South Korea are separated | Key People Kim Il Sung- the leader of North Korea during the Korean War. Syngman Rhee- The leader of South Korea during the Korean War. Mao ZeDong - The communistic leader of China during the Korean War.
8: Key Terms Viet Minh- The North Korean War forces. Fought in their first battle with Indochina under Ho Chi Min. Vietnamization- Plan by the US president to pull all of the US troops out of the war in intent to stop the war. Viet Cong- "Commies". The group had a bad denotation because they were communist. | Vietnam War | Key People Ho Chi Min- Communistic leader of Vietnam during the time of the Vietnam War. Lyndon B. Johnson- He was the 36th president of the US. He followed FDR and "Promised America Honor in the Vietnam War!" Le Duan- The communistic leader of North Vietnam after Ho Chi Min's death in 1969.

Ronald Regan- Was involved in the end of the Communism Eisenhower-President of the United States at the end of Communism. | Key Terms Star Wars- This was a treaty that limited the number of atomic weapons that the US and USSR could use. Detente - This name was given to the time after the Cold War that everything was "cooling down" Berlin Wall- The collapse of the Berlin Wall represented that the Communist parties had lost the Cold War.
