BC: The End

FC: By: Emily Kelm | Crime: O.J. Simpson

1: Orenthal James Simpson, also known as OJ Simpson, wasn’t always known as a Felon. He was born July 9th, 1947 and immediately had to deal with living in the Projects of San Francisco’s Petrero Hill. His athletic talent became known at the Recreational Center because, he stated, "Black kids were welcome at that gym and that's where we spent most our time.” OJ was the football star in High School and was helped out by Willie Mays after he was sent to Juvenile Hall. His career as a professional football player took off after a former college friend recommended him, saying he was a talented football player. OJ spent most of his career playing for the Buffalo Bills, but also played for the San Francisco 49ers. In 1994 OJ’s life took a turn for the worst when hi ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, were found with their throats slit and heads partially decapitated outside her Bundy Drive Condominium and OJ became the prime suspect.

3: It all started on June 12, 1994. Experts say that OJ was driving over to his ex-wife Nicole’s house. He was planning on killing her. Later that evening, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found stabbed to death. The police number one suspect was OJ. “I did not have anything to do with these murders. Ever.”

4: The next day, OJ was notified of the murders while on a business trip. Simpson would later go to court. Many evidence was found at the house. First, police found bloody socks that were Nicole Brown’s. Store receipts showed that he had bought a knife six weeks prior to the murder. The knife was tested and results came back that it had not been used. There was also a glove that contained DNA of Brown, Simpson, and Goldman. Police ordered Simpson to put on the glove. The glove surprisingly didn’t fit him. Given the fact that he was wearing a rubber glove also. Finally, on October 23rd, 1995, Simpson was found not guilty, but there was an alternate murder theory. “I've been very clear. I won. I didn't commit the crime.” People thought that possibly his son James Simpson committed the murder.

6: OJ Simpson is known for many things, good and bad. Unfortunately he is mostly recognized for the bad. He has been charged with numerous felonies including armed robbery and kidnapping. Whether or not you believe he is guilty of the murder of his ex-wife and her friend is up to you because according to the jury and to OJ himself, “ He is absolutely, 100 percent, not guilty.”
