D-Day - Page Text Content

FC: D-Day Heather Daniels

I choose D-Day because I believed it would be a fairly easy subject and that it would be fun to learn about. | Young men prepare for a fight.

I didn't really know all that much about D-day. Accept for the fact that this day would be a day to help end The Holocaust and that's just what it did.

My first question was "Who were all the countries that raided Germany on D-Day?"

I found my answer to be the U.S. Air Force and Great Britain.

My second question was "How long did the battle last and who surrendered first?

The fight lasted a long eleven months and by the time the Germans realized Hitler had killed himself they surrendered.

My final question was "What date did D-Day end and how did it end?

D-Day ended once Hitler killed himself by his own hand. The German soldiers who survived surrendered May 8, 1945.

Finding information was not easy. I had to change my answer many times.

I learned that D-Day was never really a battle it was something way more. I learned that actually day D-Day ended and the day The Holocaust ended.
