1: The reason I chose this topic was because I would like to learn more about fashions of the 40's. I am very interested in fashion and interested to know what fashions looked like back then.

2: I never knew anything about this topic all I really knew was that it was about fashion back in the 1940's.

3: Did Fashion change because of the 1940s? Yes fashion did change. In the 1800s they came out with jeans so in the 1940s and 1950s teenagers thought blue jeans were very comfortable so from then on blue jeans became popular

4: Did Fashion change because of the 1940s? The early 19th century didn't necessarily bring changes, but thats when the changes occurred.

5: What did men and women wear in the 1940s? Men wore casual or semi formal clothes: this was influenced by soldiers fashions. The war itself was very casual. Nylon introduced in 1940, it was very simple and became a big wonder. Slack and Tweed sports fabrics became big and were used to make coats and jackets.

6: What did women and men wear in the 1940s?The new look in 1947 dresses were knee length and had padded shoulders. Sportswear was becoming more popular, homemade accessories and curls showed womens flair without expenses hats that were made of recycled fabric was popular. Bright lipstick, factory overalls and curls. Clothes were very simple and made women still look attractive even though it was the hardest days of the war.

A leather handbag in 1944 in California was $2.98 Mens Sweatshirt $1.14 in South Carolina Girls Blouse in 1948 $2.95 in Wisconsin Mens Shirt in 1946 $3.70 A manicure in California in 1945 $1.00 Womans Suit in 1946 in New Jersey was $21.00 Mens Gabardine Slacks $4.95 in Ohio

11: Conclusion[: Fashions of the 1940s were very simple and practical solutions for everyday clothing. They were based on influences from wartime clothing and were driven by textile advances.

12: What i Learned? I learned that in 1940 it was one of the most difficult times in the war. Ladies were very simple but still attractive and that imply to the men as well. After all 1940s Fashions were not that bad.
