1: Biography | Robert Munsch was born June 11, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He grew up in a family of nine kids. His mother says he always acts like a six year old but he thinks he acts like a very mature six year old. When he was twelve his older brother kicked him in the mouth. Robert lost his two front teeth and got knocked out. Robert's dad said he's been acting strange ever since. Robert's mother said he's been always acting strange. Robert flunked grades 1 through 5 but they didn't want him in the same class as his brother so they passed him. He never learned how to spell and graduated from grade eight by counting on his fingers. He loved to wright poetry but nobody thought was very important including himself. In university he wanted to be a catholic priest but he failed In the mean time he was working for a preschool in Medford, Massachusetts. He learned that to make a little kid quiet for bedtime you had to tell them stories. That's where he met his wife over a diaper. His wife's name is Ann Beeler. they got married in 1973. When the preschool shut down, he went to a preschool in Guelph, Ontario. Robert's Boss's wife heard he was a good story teller from the other preschool so she made Robert write. His first book was "Mortimer". He made it when he went back to university. It took twelve years to publish! His first book published was "Mud puddle". It sold 3000 copies! Now, he and his wife have three kids named Julie, Andrew and Tyya. Did you know that Robert Munsch uses real kids in his books? 4: Book review The book I chose to do a review on is "Pigs". One day a girl named Megan was asked by her father to feed the pigs. He said,"Pigs are smarter than you think. Don't open the gate!" But then when she feeds the pigs she feeds the pigs she says,"They're so dumb I can open the gate and yell at them." But when she yells, "Hey you dumb pigs!" the pigs run out! Megan runs to the house to find that the pigs are in there! Her dad gets angry at her. Megan yells,"Hey you dumb pigs!" the pigs run out! When Megan gets to school she finds that the pigs are in the principals office. Megan yells,"Hey you dumb pigs and they run out! Then Megan goes to class. She finds a baby pig in her desk. Meagan's teacher said,"Megan! Get that dumb pig out of here!" Megan said,"Pigs aren't dumb, they're actually smart!" After school Megan goes onto the bus but there's pigs in the bus. The pigs drive all the way back into the pen.
