FC: It's George!
George Patrick Fairchild August 3, 2009
This is George. Within a few hours of his birth, the doctors informed us that he had a heart condition that would require at least two surgeries to repair. It wasn't the "normal" baby experience, but it was still the most wonderful thing to have George in our lives. Our families and friends were amazingly supportive. We carried around oxygen tanks for three months (even all the way to Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee and back) and it became our "normal." We are so blessed that he has endured two heart surgeries and is doing absolutely great now! | Vicki holds George for the first time, 3 days old | George's "OPERATION" shirt the morning of surgery, 5 months old | george | What am I, a pin cushion?
When George was an only child, we made it a priority for him to be around all of his cousins. He LOVES playing with all of them and now that Rahme is older, he loves playing with her! | Yep, a natural snapshot... me, on a blanket with an Easter basket neatly placed next to me, WHATEVER! | LOTS OF COUSINS!
George had a lot of fun when he was 2! Our family went to Colorado with some great friends and we learned that George really likes nature, just like his Dad. He started going to a real school and learned how to play with other kids. We got to fly to Louisiana to see some cousins - George loves to play with his cousins! We also found out that we were going to have a new baby girl in our family! When George was 2 1/2, along came Rahme Elizabeth. George loves his new baby sister - so much that he wants to hug and kiss her all the time. | two | I love my Louisiana cousins!
It's been a great year! George has had a lot of fun and can't wait to be 3! | George likes to cook - banana bread is his favorite thing to make!
Age 3 was a great year for George! He learned to play many things - soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, backyard golf, games with turns, and the list could go on and on. He continued to love puzzles, Team Umizoomi, and reading LOTS of books. His Daddy has been teaching him Spanish and math. He's learned a lot at home, but he also enjoyed his school year at Lake Hills Montessori and Jenks West Elementary School. Most importantly, he is talking! YEAH GEORGE! George had a lot of fun on trips - some small and some big! Some of the pictures on the next couple of pages show his visits to Ponca City, Oklahoma City, Texas, Louisiana, Orange Beach, AL and Hawaii! He's always up for a vacation! | three
George loves to travel! He says that Daddy goes to work so that we can ride on planes! | travel | The last hour of a 15 hour trip is hard! ZZZZ
