This is the watch that made the time seem to never change when we were first invaded.

This is my beloved garden that the Germans stole from us, the one I loved to walk through every day.

My parents, if it wasn't for them and my hope they were alive I probably would have taken my life.

This is the letter my brother received from Gisa telling us that that she was alright and she was living somewhere else with her family.

This is my cute little cat Schmutzi.

This is my grandmother's grave where my mother said that she's lucky for not having to worry about losing her children in any unnatural causes.

This is the flag our own neighbors made us hang from our house, it took a huge amount of my pride away.

This is Abek's painting that I thought was beautiful when I first met him.

This is the orange I recieved from my parents in the ghetto for my birthday. How I loved that orange, however I hate to think what they gave up for it.

These are the ski boots that I wore throughout the whole war that saved my life several times.

This is one of the roses I longed to touch during my time in the concentration camp. They were so beautiful and I managed to pick up a bud from the ground.

I bet Tusia that the war would only last no more than two years for strawberries and whipped cream and I lost the bet but I couldn't repay her...

Somehow in the concentration camp Ilse manged to get me a raspberry for my birthday, what a luxury.....

This is the wagon the sick were carried in on the death march straight to their own death where I almost went, but gladly I had people to keep me walking.

When I was liberated on my birthday the doctor was so kind to give me a piece of chocolate as a present. What an amazing gift!

This is the dried flower Kurt gave me in the letter he sent me.

This is one of the dollars I kept from the wages the doctor gave me from working as his assistant.

This is my lovely husband Kurt. We later moved to Buffalo, New York where we live our wonderful free life.

These are two of my children when they were younger, and now they have children.

I love to go to the grocery store to be reassured that there is food out there and the labels help me to learn English.
