1: the hunting hat represents his uniqueness it also shows that he desires too be different from everyone.
3: The Nuns That's the significance of the nuns in that book. They are there to show Holden has regard for others even beyond Phoebe and family, even beyond himself. His reaction to them is in keeping with his not-so-hidden vulnerability to that which is pure, both in him and outside him. Holden's vulnerability and respect for others becomes more obvious the more that book is read. He is always doing things for others, even as he judges them to be phony and/or taking advantage of him.
4: The nuns show that Holden has regard for others even beyond Phoebe and family, even beyond himself.
5: The museum represents the world Holden wishes he could live in: it’s the world of his “catcher in the rye” fantasy, a world where nothing ever changes, where everything is simple, understandable, and infinite
