Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. CathyAllen
Where did we meet you ask? Boyne Mountain Kris joined his friend Drew Yasso on CMU's High Adventure Club ski trip. This is where we first met. I walked in and saw Kris in his E&Y crew sweatshirt watching ESPN. I will never forget that. Drew had told Kris about me in the car ride up to the lodge and had a feeling we might hit it off. That night we made snow angels and walked around talking among the falling snowflakes. We got along right from the start!
 Ice Fest in Munising, Michigan
Kris and I started dating right away and soon enough we were on our next adventure - ice climbing frozen waterfalls.
CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY | Football games, pizza at Pisanello's, winter walks with hot cocoa, dancing the night away, sledding the first time Kris visited, going to the Bird, Halloween parties, Gauley Fest, The Cabin's Pizza, studying together at the library, living in the CAD Lab, Movies in 3D, yoga, Kaya.
Traveled every weekend to see each other for two years!
During the summer we spent the weekends between Notre Dame and the beaches of Petoskey. Kris made life long friends and neither of us will forget the incredible memories we made there. Legends, intramural sports, the long sunny drives, the first time driving to ND from Central, that hot weekend we spent at Central during the first summer, The 'Backer, Reckers pizza, Sneaking a girl onto the all boys floor :) late night phone calls, and a ton of homework/tests. | 2009 | 2010
 Summer Time
Bike riding, Noggin room, Beach, Pictured Rocks, Gyros on the beach, fireworks, and tons of letters between us. We also ventured to Kris's homeland.
Kris and I took a week long trip to Longlac, Ontario to see his family and the legendary McPherson orchard. Ian, Heather, Jamie and Lillian could not have been more accommodating. The trip was an exceptional success. Heck of a long car ride, we can't wait to go back!
 Longlac, Ontario
We have traveled to many places and talked countless hours on the phone. We have been asked frequently how we made it work. Well, I must say that Skype was a big help.. Here are some photos.. | Addy and Kris
Keeping the memories alive. | Our Favorites List... Movies Pug puppies Sushi Going to the gym Dancing Writing letters Voortman Vanilla Waffers Wine Dreaming about Napa Valley
Muddy Trails.. One of my favorite memories is when Kris and I went to the Cabin for pizza and drinks. We decided to walk home and it was my brilliant idea to take a "shortcut" across the corn field. We ended up sinking 6 inches deep in mud, and added an hour onto our walk. We laughed all the way as we splashed through the mud. | Lion King... The first time Addy visited me at Albion, we started talking about our interests, one of which being musicals. I told her The Lion King was coming to East Lansing, and immediately she asked if we could go. We bought tickets and not too long after we found ourselves in front of the mirror getting ready for the show. I’m sure we’ll always remember how great the show was, but getting ready for the show was a vision into the future. I was shaving and she was putting makeup on – the simplest of actions, but really represented the strong foundation of a relationship that would blossom into a marriage only two years later. | Surpise visit... Kris has surprised me numerous times over our past relationship by driving absurd amounts of distances to visit me. My favorite surprise was when I was in West Virginia on a rafting trip. Drew and I were walking and talking about how we were sad that Kris couldn't come. I was feeling homesick for him and was pretty down. Drew picked up a phone call from a friend who just arrived to the camping site and needed directions. So Drew and I started walking over to where his friend was to meet him. As Drew was on the phone talking to this guy I was following him not suspecting a thing. We stopped as drew said "Ah, there he is"..and to my utter shock..there was KRIS!!! He drove to West Virginia for the night! A security guard tried to stop Kris at the gate and he said " Sorry, I have to go hug that girl" as he ran over to me. It was amazing!
