Dear journal Today I woke up around 9 am and started off as a good day. Then I called my friend to see if he wanted to hang out and go down to the neighborhood café and grab a snack. So while we were walking I heard a big explosion and saw pieces of debri fly on top of cars and houses. Then we ran over to where the explosion too see what happen. Later on that day they reported what happen on the news but they couldn’t describe who died in that accident. So we left it as that and went on with our day.

Dear journal The next day I went off to school and everyone was talking about what happen at the neighborhood café. So then the teacher told the class that the bombing was intentional they said it was a suicide bombing. So then I asked my teacher if they knew who did it and they said that it was the al Qaeda. So that kind of scared everyone and said that they were going to cancel school after today for a whole week. So I was pretty scared and wondering who died in the accident.

Dear journal Today is two days after the accident happen I’d like to explain myself my name is Karl Hoffman, I am 14 years old and I am Jewish. My father is 45 years old and he is a rabbi. My mother died when I was 8 years old in a shooting at a food market right down the street from our house. So yea my father has been worried these past few days because his best friend has not picked up the phone or been at his house so my father thinks something has happened.

Dear journal Today is 3 days after the accident happened the news has reported that there were 3 women and 2 men who died in the suicide bombing. The news reporter said they have still not identified the people's identity’s but that there still working on it to find out who has died. Later on that day my friend and me went to a carnival that happened at our school it was pretty fun got on all the rides and played a couple of games. After that we went to his house for a sleepover and played his ps3 and played a couple board games

Dear journal Today is the fourth day after the accident they described the 2 women who died but didn’t know who were the 2 men yet. The 1st women was a 26 year old Jewish who was just stopping to buy a coffee. The 2nd woman was a 33 year old who just stopped by to buy a snack. So everyone was in shock to find out who were the women because we knew them from the neighborhood. Then my father was like how sad that that happen to those 2 women so we went to the café to pay tribute to there death.

Dear journal Today is the fifth day after the accident they have still not figured out who are the two me that died in the accident. But today is my bar mitzvah I am turning 13 years old and becoming a man. I am going to have a big party for my celebration of becoming a man. All my friends are going to my bar mitzvah and we are going to dance and play some party games. My father is excited but still worried about his friend hasn’t called back or picked up his phone so hes nervous and worried at the same time.

Dear journal Today is the sixth day after the accident and they have found out one of the men who died at the café. He was a 42 year old man who was there to meet his friend and grab a drink of coffee. We went to support him also because we also knew him so it was very sad to find out that he died. So we have two days until school starts and I have to try and finish my project for world history. So yea goodnight I have to wake up early and figure this project thing out.

Dear journal Today is the seventh day since the accident and they have figured out who is the last man who was killed in the suicide bombing. They have announced that the last man who was killed ended up being my dad’s best friend that’s why he never answered his phone or called back. So my dad was in shock and broke down and started crying so I felt bad. We went to his funeral and paid our tribute to him and my dad gave a speech on behalf of his honor. When I got home I finished my project went to school the next day and got an A on the project.
