FC: The Life of Shakespeare

1: Shakespeare was born in April of 1564.

2: He was born in the town Stratford-upon-Avon.

3: During his childhood, his education consisted of a free grammar school.

4: At age 18, he married Anne Hathaway. However, this was an arranged marriage, so they both cheated on each other often.

5: They had their first child in 1583. She was named Susanna.

6: In 1585, they had twins named Hamnet and Judith.

7: In 1588, he began to establish himself as author and playwright.

8: He wrote the following works throughout his life:

9: -Love's Labor's Lost -Comedy of Errors -Two Gentlemen of Verona -Midsummer Night's Dream

10: -Merchant of Venice -Taming of the Shrew -Merry Wives of Windsor -Much Ado About Nothing

11: -As You Like It -Twelfth Night -All's Well that Ends Well -Measure for Measure -Pericles -Cymbeline

12: -Winter's Tale -Tempest -Titus Andronicus -Romeo and Juliet -Julius Ceasar -Hamlet

13: -Troilus and Cressida -Othello -King Lear -Macbeth -Anthony and Cleopatra -Timon of Athens

14: Shakespeare was influenced by classical writers he learned about in school.

15: Shakespeare is known as one of the greatest writers of history and we continue to read his works today.
