S: SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN & CANADA CRUISES - 2013
FC: Southern Caribbean & Canada Cruises 2013
On January 18, a group of friends, both old and new, flew to Puerto Rico for our one week Southern Caribbean Cruise on board Celebrity. With any large group (12 couples) we had some drama, but overall, the trip was a success. Unfortunately, Terry ended up in the ships E/R with pancreatitis and they had to cut their trip short. The Caribbean islands are truly beautiful but very poor. They depend on tourist for income. It made us feel blessed for where we live. We are truly rich people compared to any of those islands.
Taking a small commuter plane from St. Thomas to Puerto Rico was the best part of the flight. Although Linda would disagree!!
Spectacular View of St. Thomas & San Juan
Once we boarded our ship, we opted for a non-alcoholic drink package which entitled us to unlimited coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Others opted for the alcohol package and they were determined to get their money worth!!
The cruise itinerary included Joe shopping for a pocket watch. Unfortunately, St. Croix shuts down on Sundays and we window shopped!
"It isn't how much time you spend somewhere that makes it memorable: it's how you spend the time." - David Brenner
 FORMAL NIGHT
 ST GEORGE's GRENADA
While Kim & Jason, Dale & Debbie, and Terry & Diane enjoyed a swim in the Caribbean Sea, Joe is still on a mission to find the perfect pocket watch!
 SAINT THOMAS
Diane and Terry gave Kim and Jason a snorkel excursion which included all you can drink Rum punch. Kim and Jason were both feeling no pain!
The midnight buffet and the ice sculptures were amazing
GRAUDONS & SWEET CANADA CRUISE VACATION SEPTEMBER 2013
 THE BIG APPLE
THE BIG APPLE | Our cruise departed from NYC. We cruised next to the Status of Liberty.
A visit to Boston included a search for hot nuts!
This little bird fell on our balcony... | Then he became lunch for the larger bird
 P O R T L A N D
 M A I N E
 Greetings from Portland Head Light
Our room was on the 9th floor. Linda was brave looking down!
Although the weather was in the 60's, we still spent time outside on the deck. It was too windy to play miniature golf, but we walked miles on the track.
We enjoyed dinner in the dining room every evening, but was disappointed with the shows. We enjoyed the adult comedian show and laughed at Linda as much as the comedian. She has an addicting laugh!
The weather was cool but sunny. While leaving port, it was lightly raining and thus, caused the rainbow.
Due to an error in booking, we were upgraded to the Lido deck, 9th floor. The views pulling in and out of port was an excursion by itself. Linda could not look down, but she was able to enjoy the balcony.
The advantage of a balcony room is the view pulling into the ports. Halifax, Canada is known for their light houses and ocean fronts.
 Peggy's Cove | FISHERMAN'S MONUMENT
The Titanic struck an iceberg at 11:40 pm on April 14, 1912 and sank at 2:20 am April 15. Bodies recovered were numbered. These numbers appear on the headstones. Some victims were never identified.
 St. John, New Brunswick
 Frumpy Happy
 NewBrunswick Museum
The Museum was a stop along the bus route. Terry & Joe stood over the old time tool equipment for what seemed forever! The museum had an Industrial & Shipbuilding Gallery, Fundy Tidal Tower, Geology gallery, Hall of Great Whales, and Birds of New Brunswick Gallery. It proved educational for all.
We took the bus to the Bay of Fundy but unfortunately, the reversing falls would not happen until 5 pm.
I scream, U scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!
The buffet choices range from salads, hot dogs, fresh mozzarella cheese, hot dishes, omelets and desserts - cheesecake and chocolate cake were the favorites. | FRUMPY | The hamburger bar was a hit with Joe while Diane enjoyed the fries! | HAPPY
The dining room staff were very entertaining. Joe ordered the special meal of the night. There wasn't a meal he didn't eat!
 FORMAL NIGHT WAS A BLAST
 Cruise Full of Memories
...with good friends and a stranger with voices | May your time be filled with relaxing moments... | relaxing
The View of NYC from our balcony as the cruise pulls into port.
