One Morning Max and his sister molly woke up with big smiles on their faces. They remembered that today was their day to go to the amusement park.
Max ran downstairs thought he would get a head start on making breakfast and lunch so they could leave for the park earlier. Max was the only one downstairs.
While Max was making breakfast his mom came down and was wondering why Max was making breakfast and lunch.
Max told her that he wanted to leave for the park as soon as possible so Max's Mom left and went to go wake up the rest of the family. While she was doing that Max finished the last touches and started to pack everything up.
The whole family headed for the car and they started driving towards the amusement park. Max's parents made some rules for the kids that where to always to stay by their side and to make sure to not talk to strangers.
The amusement park was very busy. When Max was in line to go on the ferris wheel he saw a water balloon game and water balloons are his favorite. So Max walked over to the water balloon station without asking.
When Max got to the water balloon game he was so excited. Max asked if he could have a turn so the lady gave him three pins to throw at the balloons. If you make 2 out of 3 then you get a big prize. Max made the first one and missed the second one.
Finally Max hit the last water balloon. "HURRAY" Max exclaimed. Max got a big teddy bear as his prize. Max wanted to get back to his parents so that they could see what he had won. Max didn't know where they where though.
Max was trying to be brave but he really had no idea were his parents where. Max then thought he would walk around but then he remembered that if you ever get lost you should stay in one place instead of walking around to try and find your parents. Max's parents were really worried about Max too.
Max saw all these other kids with their families and began to really miss his parents and he really wanted to get home. Max sat down and felt like he was going to cry but then he just held it in and tried to be brave and put a smile on his face so that no one would think their was anything wrong. Max began to worry if his parents where wondering were he was and that they where upset too.
Max saw a police officer and thought that maybe he should ask him if he had seen his parents anywhere. The police officer noticed Max before Max could even ask for help. He came over and asked if Max was ok. Max told the police officer that he couldn't find his parents. The police officer realized the time and said how the park was about to close very soon.
Max stayed very calm and thought to himself that everything was going to be ok and that he would eventually find his parents. The police officer asked Max if he knew his address and Max said that he didn't know his address so the police officer said that he would take Max back to the station to see if they could reach his parents.
When they arrived at the police station Max went inside and asked if he could have a snack. They gave him some gold fish and fruit punch and began to ask him some questions. Max had no answers to any of their questions accept that he lived on Butternut Road and that they have a red Mini-Van.
The Police Officer knew the exact house that Max was talking about. So they got in the car and drove to Max's house. When Max rang the doorbell his sister answered and was very excited to see Max. When Max's parents saw him everyone celebrated.
