FC: Military Uniforms
i chose this topic because when i think of military uniforms i always imagine Nazis killing people. i want to know what the people were so afraid of was it the colors they saw on them that frightened them or the style? | and i wanted to choose something different then every one else | and i think the person who designed these uniforms should get a little more credit then what he/she gets right now. | also my grandfather was in the military in the U.S i wanted to compare the two with my knowledge from the U.S military
What i already knew about military uniforms are probably that they wore a standard uniform i just don't know all the colors and styles.
My first question was did they wear hats or helmets? The answer i found was, they wore a hat or a helmet and usually theres were a beige color and if you were a higher rank than some others you would have navy blue.
My second question was what colors were there uniforms? The answer i found was, drapes were still present in the suit which was either a three button, single-breasted or a three-button,with trousers laid in pressed pleats at the waist a casualty of the was was not allowed.
Today Hugo Boss is known for global fashion empires. Started his company in 1923 in Metzingen where its still based. In 1930 the economy was bad so he was forced to bankruptcy. in 1931 he became a member of the Nazi party and in 1933, he became the official supplier of uniforms for the SA and SS guard.
Hugo Boss. The amazing famous yet dead fashion empire known as today had a troubled beginning for his fashion career came out around 1933 being the Nazi Military designer. But the things he did like pick out the beige colored uniforms for the lower ranked and the navy blue for the higher ranked Nazi military fighter in this World War Two. Or the hats, Many different designed for the hats but the most known/common hat color would be the beige or navy blue. (Of course depending on your rankings)
What I learned from this project is that Hugo Boss is a lot more known in the fashion industry because of what his companies make these days not what he did back in the day around 1933. He became the Nazi uniforms supplier. The closest person that was found to be a Nazi uniform designer. I also learned the type of color of your uniform depends on your ranking. If you were a higher ranking than another your color would be navy blue, Otherwise you were wearing the common beige color. Same with the hats. The last thing i found most intriguing is actualy researching like this gives you a more approximate answer
