My Inspiration I'm inspired by the people I've met and the places I've gone. I believe that when a person is writing fiction, if they've had a personal experience with what they're writing about then they can make their characters experience more realistic. Also, the people we meet everyday can inspire us when deciding what attributes/characteristics to give a certain character. If you've had experience with a certain type of person you can portray them better.

"'Yeah, but Stevie,' he said, bending to grasp the handles, 'I didn't know what else I might find to do once I got out here, did I? It's best to have your tools with you. If you don't, you're apt to finding something you didn't expect and get discouraged.'" (King 106) "As the whore said to the bashful sailor,'It ain't how much you've got, honey, it's how you use it.'" (King 107)

Stephen King's advice from his Uncle reminds me of the "Future Topics" sheet that Mrs. Chausse gave us on the first day of class. If you don't always have a pad and pen handy, you may miss an opportunity to write down notes or ideas that you have for a new story. The advice from the whore reminds me of how even though I my not have a very high vocabulary, as long as I use the words I know well, it will still work. The fact the King also mentions how one should not try to expand on their vocabulary and sound awkward also made me feel better about my vocabulary level.

I will probably write in a journal a few times a week. This journal will be a place where I can write about stories from my daily life or ideas that popped in my head that could become a good story. If in my how I have an enclosed porch, I'll write out there at night time so I'm able to let go of all of my surroundings and just focus on the one thing in front of me. | My Space

My companion will be my significant other. I will be able to trust them to be honest and tell me about what needs changing or improvement. This person will not only help me with revising but also with new ideas. They will be able to expand on ideas I already have and tell me what I should add on or remove from my story. | My Companion

 Favorite Authors

 Favorite Books

Quotes | "Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anybody." "This moment will just be another story someday." The Perks of being a Wallflower "Imperfection is beauty madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." Marilyn Monroe "I hope she'll be a fool- that's the best thing a girl can be in his world, a beautiful little fool." The Great Gatsby

Technical Aspects | I still have more years of schooling to go through and during these years, I plan on enhancing my grammatical side of writing. Though I understand grammar and know how to use it, I do not know all the rules so I'm not able to have perfect grammar without errors. When proofreading my writing, I will first have the computer check over the writing (if that is where I wrote it) or read it over myself a couple times. Once I found all the mistakes I could, I'll have another person read it over to see what mistake I missed. For revisions, I will swap the proofreading order and first have someone read it over and tell me what I should change and then read it over and finalize the revisions I like or feel fit well.

My Plan | In order to continue gathering writing ideas, I will take pictures of the places I go and write about the experiences I have. Along with that, when reading a new book I will write down things the author did that I liked and would want to try and use in my own writing.

Staying Motivated | Besides the already stated tools necessary in a writers toolbox, staying motivated also needs to be included. Someone can always have an ideas of what they want to write about and know different styles then wanna use when writing. Staying motivated to actually write the stories and try to do something with them after is a whole different part. Once an inspiring writer develops the ability to stay motivated about writing, they will be able to make good writing without needing to perfect every aspect in their toolbox.
