1: Nuclear energy is the energy released from atomic nuclei , by reactions, as fusions or fissions.
2: Nuclear energy is released in a nuclear reaction. It could be released as a nuclear fusion or a nuclear fission. A nuclear fusion is made when deuterium and tritium come together. Helium, a neutron and energy is released from the fusion.
3: A nuclear fission is made when a nucleus atom splits into lighter nuclei. Most of the time this produces neutrons and protons, with lots of energy.
5: An example of nuclear energy is the Japan power plants, when the earthquake and tsunami came. The tsunami hit the power plant causing it to explode and nuclear energy was released.

9: Long term Effects on the environment *reduces greenhouse gases | Long Term Effects on People and Wildlife * causes cancer * kills people (the cancer) *mutant babies * animals die because or lost habitat
10: Even though this method reduces greenhouse gases it isn't safe. There is chances of a leak or a meltdown. This would cause radiation.
12: There could be a problem with disposing. The fuel rods used needs to be buried or stored, but if the rods overheat, that would cause an explosion and radiation.
15: In Japan there were a few power plants. In 2011 an earthquake hit causing a tsunami. The tsunami hit the power plants and caused a meltdown.
