FC: Of Mice and Men Summary by:Meagan Herdrich
1: Lennie's mentally challenged which is why he has George to take care of him and make sure he doesn't do bad things to harm anyone. | George and Lennie are two close friends that have known eachother for a very long time. George is short and stout and Lennie is big and thinner, but very strong.
2: Lennie loves soft things that catch his attention. For example, puppies, mice, and expecialy rabits. | Red dresses are also infamous for catching his attention. | Him and George had to flee from where they worked because he touched a girl in a red dress.
3: George and Lennie go through many obstacles when he goes too far and ends up breaking a mans hand and a womans neck, killing her.
4: George can't take Lennie's problems anymore and shoots him in the back of the head, killing him.
5: The setting of the story was a river somewhere in California... | And at a farm where they worked with everyone.
6: The genre of the story is fiction. In theatre it would be a tragedy because there are deaths in the novel.
7: About John Steinbeck: | He was born in Salinas, CA. His was born on 2/27/1902. He went to Stanford College. He got married and wrote his first book "Cup of Gold" in 1929. He was awarded the Noble Prize for Literature in 1962. He eventually passed away on December 20, 1968.
