3: On April 6, 2009 a massive earthquake occurred in Italy. A week before that, an Italian scientist had put a statement on the internet that a large earthquake would occur. The Italian government believed that he was causing false panic and took the statement off the internet. But now, it looks like the scientist predicted the quake, something no was has ever been able to do. Some believe he actually predicted the quake while others think he just got lucky. Its hard to tell weather or not he actually predicted the earthquake and we may never know. The more important question is how many lives could have been saved if the government had listened to the man?
4: This is important because this might be a breakthrough that could be used to predict earthquakes and keep people safe.
