FC: Phenominal Woman by Maya Angelou is a beautiful poem about how she is proud to be a woman even though she may not look like a model. | She explains how men like and look at her for who she is and for the way she walks and the way her hips move and her eyes. Not just her body. | I enjoyed reading this poem because i actually understood it unlike a lot of the poems i have had to read previously in school.

Still i rise is a fantastic poem, it explains how she will rise over the prejudice in this world and the only reason she is able to do that is because of her ancestors. Maya seems to be a very proud black woman and why not right she deserves it after all that went on back then.

Marrying the Hangman was an intersting poem about running away from your problem. You never really get anything out of running away from your problems so you should always face them head on unlike the woman from Marrying the Hangman who ran away from her problem "her death" by marrying the hangman.

How do i Love Thee by Elizabeth Barrett Browning is a poem about a woman that loves someone and she trys to explain how she loves the person in the poem. Love is very strong and can cause people a lot of pain. This woman is basically trying to say no matter what she will love this person even after death.

La Belle Dame sans Merci is a poem about a man that has this beautiful woman that he loves, they do a lot of stuff together but one day falls asleep while she is rubbing him, and when he wakes up he is all alone on a cold hill side.

She Walks in Beauty is a difficult poem for me to understand. What i got out of it is that she is beautiful and everthing that she walks by and looks at is beautiful to her no matter what it looks like.

The Lady of Shalott is about a woman stuck in a tower and she is in love she tries to leave the tower and realizes she is wrong for escaping and gets on a boat to go to Camelot to find her love. Nothing is stopping her, but she does not make it there she dies before she gets there. Which is a shame because Lancelot finds her very beautiful.

When I have Fears That I May Cease to Be by John Keats is very confusing to me i really do not understand it. i understand that it it about peoples fears, but that is all i really get out of it.

The Raven By Edgar Allan Poe is about his lost love.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is about a man that is a sailor and he has wedding guests on his boat. A lot of weird things happend to him thats when they start getting follwed by an albatross which is good luck for a sailor. He then tells the guests that he killed the albatross. which bring him alot of bad luck. In the end of the story they all end up dying.

To my Dear and Loving Husband by Anne Bradstreet is about a woman that loves her husband. She loves him so much that she would do anything for him. She explains that love is a never ending thing which is true.

If You Forget Me by Pablo Naruda is a really interesting poem. The person states that they will only love if te other person loves back. I find this to be very true as i feel the same way that the author does.
