1: Dear Journal, Today was pretty fun until I got home. I bet your wondering what's my issue now. Well while Aunt Theresa was working in the south tower, a plane crashed. Yeah, she didn't make it. =( We have to plan her funeral soon....

2: Dear Journal, Well today is the day. =( I really hate funerals. Well as Roman Catholics we first hold a vigil for Aunt Theresa. A vigil is a prayer service. I just prayed that Aunt Theresa goes to heaven and for God to try his best to protect the rest of my family. After this we had the Catholic funeral liturgy. It's the core of the Catholic funeral celebration. The Eucharist was performed as usual. It's where we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We did all a lot praying, singing, and giving our best wishes. I wish i had time to brush up on my Spanish. After the praying we gave our respects to Aunt Theresa's body. Lastly we cremated her. I didn't want to stay for that part. It was really scary to see her body being burned than the ashes were thrown in the ocean. They were only thrown in th ocean, because that was in her will or she wished it that way. I'm not too sure.

4: Dear Journal, TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!! I'm turning 15yrs old. You know what that means!?!? I get to have my quinceanera. I have been planning this day since I've been born!! Pretty much to us Catholics when you turn 15 you have entered woman hood. Quinceaneras are only for women, of course. Now before I can go party we have to do some church ceremony. The Quinceanera tradition celebrates the young girl (la Quinceanera), and recognizes her journey from childhood to maturity. Our customs highlight God, family, friends, music, food, and dance.

6: Dear Journal, Wow this week has been really hectic. We went from having a funeral to having my quince. There is still so much to do. Thank goodness I'm only 15. I still have time to grow up, party, learn, worship, and other stuff. Well nothing special going on today. I just have to school. DId I ever mention I go to an all girls, private, Catholic school? Well I do and it's pretty strict. Seeing all the public school kids have fun makes me jealous sometimes. I mean we have uniforms, strict rules, nuns, and no boys.
