2: Sacagawea was a translator, a mother, an Indian, a mystery, and a legend.
3: Sacagawea was a translator for Lewis and CLark on their expedition. (1804-1806)
4: On the expedition, Sacagawea gave birth to her son and carried him on their journey.
5: She was very helpful to Lewis and Clark on the expedition for many reasons. 1. She was good at searching for edible plants. 2. Making moccasins and clothing.
6: Sacagawea was reunited with her brother on the expedition. | He was the leader of a tribe they encountered.
7: Sacagawea died shortly after the expedition after giving birth to her daughter, her second and last child. | She has 2 grave sites. One in Fort Manuel and another in the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.
8: No one knows her exact date of birth, it is still a mystery....
9: Sacagawea was a Lemhi Shoshone indian. The name Sacagawea means Bird Woman.
10: In the years following her death, Sacagawea has become a Legend. Many memorials have been raised in her honor.
11: Also, Sacagawea has become the subject of many books and movies along with getting on a U.S. dollar coin in the year 2000.
