1: A simile is a figure of speech comparing two unlike things using like or as. | A metaphor is the understanding itself of one concept in terms of another.

2: A simile example is: Life is like an onion.

4: An example of a simile is: They fought like cats and dogs.

5: An example of a metaphor is; Dad is a bear.

6: An example of a simile is: As clear as crystal.
