It was the last inning of the game. At 9:15pm, Express was playing the Grasshoppers. Express was down by one run. Diego was on third base and there was two outs.
Joe was up to bat. The pitcher on the Grasshoppers team was a good pitcher. He threw the ball and Joe swung the bat. "STRIKE ONE!" the ump yelled. The pitcher threw the ball, and Joe swung the bat again. "STRIKE TWO!" the ump yelled.
The pitcher threw the ball a 3rd time. Joe swung the bat and hit the ball to the right fielder. He threw the ball to first but Joe was called "SAFE!" Diego then ran in to home plate and made a run for our team, Express.
It was 10-10, then I was up to bat. The pitcher threw the ball and I swung, but I missed. "STRIKE ONE!" the ump yelled. The pitcher threw the ball again and I swung and missed. "STRIKE TWO!"
Then the pitcher threw the ball a third time, and the ump called it a ball. Then Joe ran over and stole second base. The pitcher threw the ball a fourth time and I hit it toward first base.
Joe ran to third base, while the first base man threw the ball to third base, but it went over his head, then Joe ran to home plate.
Joe was safe at home. I was out but, we were winning 10-11.
We won the game. Even though I was called out, I got the winning RBI (Run Batted In.) So without me, it would have been a tied game 10-10.
