3: GO TEAM | American Airlines Center | The American Airlines Center in Dallas was opened on July 17, 2001. The total cost of construction was $420 million. It is the home of The Dallas Stars and many other sporting and entertainment purposes. The architect was David M. Schwarz and it was all built by Austin Commercial Inc. | Stadiums
4: Baylor Bear Basketball | Baylor Basketball is located in Waco, Texas. Both the women and men teams have won 5 NCAA Titles. The program started up in 1907 and in 2003 was convicted to 7 scholarships a season because of drug involvement | Teams
5: Cricket | The First known tournament of cricket was played in 1598. But instead of cricket, it was known as 'Creckett' It is believed that it was originally a children's game but references around 1610 had shown it was first played by adults. Cricket is now played in several countries and has multiple leagues. | History
6: Disch Falk Field | Disch Falk Field is home of the UT Baseball program. The field was opened February 17, 1975 and cost about $22 million. As well as the builder, the architect was the DLR Group. AS of today, the field has been in exsistence for 37 years | Stadiums
7: East Texas Soccer Club | East Texas Soccer Club is a well run program in East Texas. They are in the middle of a great season. They have been around for 10 years and are a successful league. | Team
8: The 2011 Final Four in Houston was played in Reliant Stadium. It consisted of 68 teams to eventually, the Final Four teams. In 2011, these teams were Kentucky, VCU, Butler, and Connecticut. Connecticut or UConn, one the championship against Butler. The game was UConn's 3rd title. | Competition
9: Golf | It is one of the few ball games that does not require a standardized playing area. While the modern game of golf originated in 15th century Scotland. it is home to one of the most prestiges golf clubs and Championships. Agusta national, The Masters. The tournament has a number of traditions. Since 1949, a green jacket has been awarded to the champion, who must return it to the clubhouse one year after the time of that player's victory. | History
10: Houston Rockets | The Rockets Were founded in 1967 by Leslie Alexander. They played in San Diego California for four years then moved to Texas.They play in the southwest section of the western conference. They used to have the tallest man in the NBA, Yao Ming on their team. | Team
11: Intramural UT Track Meet | Held April 27,2012 every year at Mike Myers Stadium. The registration fee is $15. All competitors must be UT students. The group is known as Too Fast
12: Jake Newton | He was born December 22 1988 in San Jacinto, CA. He is currently playing for the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League as a prospect within the Colorado Avalanche organization. He plays defense. | Athlete
13: Kickball | Kickball (or Soccer-Baseball) is a playground game and league game, similar to baseball, invented in the United States in the first half of the 20th Century. its a nine inning sport. At most schools, kids will usually play kickball out at recess. It is also world wide played in a lot of countries. | History
14: Loui Erikson Athlete | Loui Eriksson born July 17, 1985 in Gothenburg, Sweeden. He started playing for Lerum BK at a young age. At age 11 he was excelling in his league and was getting looked at by high school coaches already. He is now a left winger and an alternate captain for the Dallas Stars.
15: Mavericks Team | The Dallas Mavericks were founded in 1980. The Mavericks have won three division titles 1987, 2007, 2010, two conference championships 2006, 2011, and one NBA Championship 2011. Currently the owner of the Mavericks is Mark Cuban. The head coach is Rick Carlisle. In 1979, businessman Don Carter and partner Norm Sonju requested the right to bring an NBA franchise to Dallas, Texas. The star player for the Mavs right now is Dirk Nowitzki.
16: Nelson Cruz Athlete | He was born July 1, 1980 in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic. His first MLB game was September 17, 2005 for the Milwaukee Brewers. He now plays for the ranger in the outfield. In 2010 the rangers went to the world series and nelson Cruz was one of the star players. He has a total of 108 home runs in his life time.
17: Olsen Field Stadium | It is home to the Texas A&M Aggies baseball program. The stadium was dedicated on March 21st 1978 in honor of Pat Olsen. In 2004 Olsen field was ranked #1 for "best collage Baseball Venue". In 2011 the average crowd members for a home game was 3,994 people per game.
18: Patrick Wikey Athlete | Patrick Wikey was born in 1993. He is on the UT Lacrosse Team and is now a junior. He is a starter and his number is 19
19: Lavonya Quintelle "Quincy" Carter Athlete | He was born October 13 1977 in Georgia. His first NFL game was for the Dallas Cowboys in 2001. he played for two pro teams and 3 minor leauge teams. He was the quarterback for all those teams.
20: GO TEAM! | Robbie Ross Athlete | Robbie Ross is a pitcher for the Texas Rangers. He was born June 24, 1989 and was drafted in the second round of the MLB Draft in 2008. His first starting victory was on April 14, 2012 against the Minnesota Twins
21: Super Bowl XLV | Super Bowl XLV was held in Cowboy's Stadium in 2011. It averaged 111 million viewers and included the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
22: Texas Sports Hall of Fame | The Texas Sports Hall of Fame is located in Waco, TX and was founded in 1951. The museum has over 300 exhibits of Texas Sports Stars. It sits at 35,000 feet squared and was recently expanded in 2010 | History
23: University of Texas Lacrosse Team | University of Texas Lacrosse is a D2 school. You can sign up online and it was founded 2004. The team has onl had 1 losing record in its 8 year history and is 11-5 this season
24: Valera Open | The Valera Open is one of many PGA Tour's stops. It holds the FedEX Cup Tournament and has over 300 other tournaments. It has been open since 1995 and is known worldwide
25: World Series 2011 | The World Series was played October 19-28. It included the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals. It was brodcasted over FOX and ESPN Radio.
26: Texas XL Team | Texas XL is a youth lacrosse program in NorthEast Texas. It has been around since 1997 but finally became popular in 2009. It is in the middle of a season with a 7-5 record.
27: Yu Darvish Player | Yu Darvish was born August 16, 1986 in Habikino, Osaka. He pitched in the 2008 Olympics. He pitches and bats right
