Interphase | Cells grow rapidly and carries out routine functions.

Each chromosome consist of two chromatids held together by a centromer | Synthesis (S)

Second growth (g2) | Cells get ready to divide.

Mitotic Phase | The nucleaus divides each nucleuse ends up with the same number of chromosomes as the oriinal cell.

Mitosis | This is where prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, and cytokinesis occurs.

Prophase | chromatin condences into chromosomes nucleus dissapers centreoles migrate and synthesis spindlefibers.

Chromosomes line up along metaphase plate metaphase plte divde the chromosome and the sister c chromatids seperate. | Metaphase

The spindle fibers contract pulling the sister chromatids away from each other and toward the opposite poles. | Anaphase

Telophase | Nuclear envelope forms and the nucleoli reappear the spindle apparatus is dssassembled

Cytokineysis | In animals the contractile rig forms around cell cleavage furrow forms and the cell pininches in 2. In plants the cell plate assembles and a new cell wall forms.
