1: There once was a scientist named Aylmer.

2: One day Aylmer left his office to find a wife.

3: He meet a women named Georgiana and they were married.

4: Soon after they were married, he began to notice a birthmark on his wife's cheek.

5: The birthmark looked like a small reddish hand that appeared when his wife's cheeks were pale.

6: Aylmer questioned his wife as to why she never had it removed. Georgiana replied that she would never think of doing such a thing.

7: Some people said that a fairy had left it's handprint on Georgiana's cheek when she was an infant.

8: Others called it a Blood Hand and said it made her ugly.

9: Aylmer convinced his wife to let him remove the birthmark and she agreed.

10: Aylmer took Georgiana to his office.

11: He tried several different methods to remove the birthmark but none of them worked.

12: There was one last thing that Aylmer could try. He poured a clear liquid onto a dying flower and it became beautiful again.

13: Aylmer gave Georgiana the clear liquid and she drank it.

14: Georgiana soon fell asleep. Aylmer watched as the birthmark began to fade away.

15: Georgiana awoke and Aylmer handed her a mirror.

16: Georgiana's birthmark had disappeared but she passed away in Aylmer's arms.
