2: The Paleo Indians were the first Americans. They had the least advanced technology. One of their technologies was the spear. The next group of Indians are the Aratic Indians they had made the second evolution of the spear an add on. The atlatl which was used to throw the spear more accurate and faster. The last group was called the Eastern Woodland Indians. They had the most advanced technology. They went fishing, they grew crops, and they made the famous bow and arrow.
3: The Racial Integrity Act was passed in 1924 and ended in 1968. The law made white people marry white people and colored people to marry people of color. Being a chief is hard work. There are two reservations in VA. The Native American people depended on the Chesapeake Bay to live
4: The three language groups were Siouan ,Algonquian, and Iroquoian. 32 of the 40 Algonquian tribes formed together to make the Powhatan tribe, lived in Coastal Plain. 80,000 Iroquois still live today. Siouan made mounds and buried dead corpses in them.
6: Bob McDonnell honors the Monacans. Now there are eleven state recognized tribes. Five of the eleven tribes are recognized by The Federal Government. Obama tried to pass a law through The House of Representatives that allowed the unrecognized tribes to be recognized. The Monacans are one of the six unrecognized tribes by The Federal Government. Daric said that we must be partners with the Native Americans.
