2: Life has been great.! --Dec. 17 1927

3: New tehcnology is coming out left and right., I bought a new radio yesterday and I'm thinking of buying a new edition refridgerator. --Ferbruary 4, 1928

4: My neighbors have been investing in the stocks and are doing well. Maybe I'll invest. . . . --March 7, 1928

5: We are having the time of our lives! --June 3, 1928

6: I read in the news that Europe's economy is awful. There's a depression and people are out on the streets. It's a good thing that we became isolationists after the war so this can't reach us. --August 22, 1928

7: I bought a car today. I drove it to Margrets house. She was in my science class way back when along with 4 others. I'm so excited! --November 10, 1928

8: I go out dancing all the time now. I learned a new dance style, it's called the Lindy Hop. It's so much fun but I need to practice. --January 15, 1928

9: I bought a ton of stock in GM. and other places. I'm waiting for the perfect time to sell out but thats not for awhile. They're going great.. --March. 18, 1929

10: My stock investments have paid off. I am making thousands. At this rate I'll be a millionare by next week. There's no way I'm backing out now!!! --July 27, 1929

11: I visited Broadway with some friends yesterday. It was so much fun. The city is crowded and energetic. I love the hustle and bustle of it. --September 1, 1929

12: The mob has been causing a lot of trouble in the towns surrounding mine. I hope they don't come here, they solve aaall of their problems with murder. - - - That's Al Capone, he's one of the worst guys in the maffia around here.. --September 29, 1929

13: I'm alittle nervous. We've been informed the Wall Street Stock Market has crashed. It's a good thing I put a lot of money in the banks though so I should be fine. I just hope we don't lose our jobs. --October 24, 1929

15: I went to the bank to get my money. There was a huge line. Apparently the bank couldn't take all the people taking out their money. IT CLOSED! I drove all over town and ALL of the banks are closed with an angry line of people outisde of them. I don't know what to do. I had all of my money in there and now it's all gone. I pray I don't lose my job. If I do I'll be out on the streets for sure. --October 26 1929

16: I can't believe it. We've lost our jobs. There is no way we can save our house now unless we sell things. What's going on? Hopefully Hoover wll help us. -November 16, 1929

17: It turns out Hoover won't help. He thinks if we don't do anything the economy will change itself. I don't buy it. | Everyone is mad our President. The homeless are even creating little towns with small houses. They call them Hoovervilles. --December 1, 1929

18: I was forced to sell some of my new things but I don't have enough to go on forever. I will be out on the streets soon. --January 15, 1930

19: I've been forced to forclosure. I'm living on the streets. I have nothing. --January 29, 1930

20: I have been living off shelters and free food. I'm cold and dirty. Maybe new President Roosevelt will help for a change. --February 13, 1930

22: Roosevelt is helping! We're going to be okay, we really are. --March 17, 1930
