1: The great depression was caused by many things, The stock market crash and bank failures. Many people believe that the stock market crashed on black Tuesday. In 1929 October 29th the stock market crashed, Two month after the stock market crashed stockholders lost more than 40 billion dollars. Throughout the 1930's over 9000 banks failed. Bank deposits were unisured, so when banks failed people lost there savings. Banks were unsure about the economic situation they stopped being as willing to create new loans for people. This situation leading to less and less expectations.

3: The Great Depression Ran from 1929 to 1941 lasting longer than expected. It lasted for 11 painful years, it also lasted one more year longer than that of Canada's.

4: Physically and mentally it was devastating to many people, mostly everyone. They did not have food, shelter or clothing, times were rough and hard to live with. Few people died from starvation, many did not have enough to eat. Some people searched garbage dumps for food or ate weeds. During the depression many children had to take on greater responsibility's at an earlier age.

5: EVERYONE | Not just one Person was affected by the great Depression everyone suffered . People suffered in different ways, but were all affected.

6: In the late 1930's the great depression was weakening but many Americans were still affected. The suffering American economy was given a boost when the fighting country needed supplies and looked to America to make them. After pearl harbor was bombed on December 7th 1941, America entered the war, The US established more than 10 million men and woman into the military . The desperate need for soldiers, pilots, workers and air/sea craft ammunition contributed to the end of the depression. The economy of America skyrocketed and was on the road to recovery.
